Rwanda's premier international motorsport event

The Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally is Rwanda's premier international motorsport event and an official round of the FIA African Rally Championship.

The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone, bringing together one of the strongest international entry lists in the event's history. Crews from Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, India, Zimbabwe and Denmark will compete for championship points across three days of spectacular rally action.

Fans will witness reigning African Rally Champion Yasin Nasser, two-time African Rally Champion Karan Patel, Kenya's Sameer Nanji and many of Africa's leading rally stars. For the first time in Rwanda, the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 will compete on Rwandan roads.
